# Chalk Golf

> Chalk Golf is a golf app for iPhone, Apple Watch and Android: scorecards by tap or voice, stats with a WHS handicap estimate, England Golf and GHIN score import, plays-like distances, shot tracking with club distances and strokes gained, hole strategy, Ball Tracer, Swing Studio swing analysis, an AR putt helper, course maps, matches, net practice games and a practice log. Chalk Tracer traces golf shots in videos on Mac and Windows.

## ChatGPT and Claude

Chalk Golf has a hosted remote MCP server at https://api.chalkgolfapp.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP, OAuth 2.1 sign-in). Golfers add it as a custom connector in Claude or as a developer-mode app in ChatGPT, then ask about their own rounds, scorecards, stats, shot patterns by club, handicap record, swing analyses, practice log and course notes. If the golfer allows it, it can also log practice sessions and course notes. Logging a round or inviting friends to a match returns a link the golfer approves on chalkgolfapp.com before anything is saved. A round can come from a photo of a paper scorecard; the assistant asks about any hole it can't read before submitting. Nothing can be deleted, and synced England Golf and GHIN records are never changed. It is free with a Chalk Golf account.

Read-only access: connect to https://api.chalkgolfapp.com/mcp/readonly, which only ever exposes read tools, or untick "Let it add to Chalk" when signing in.

## Chalk Tracer for AI agents

Chalk Tracer for Mac has a built-in local MCP server over stdio: `"/Applications/Chalk Tracer.app/Contents/MacOS/chalk-tracer" --mcp`. AI agents such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex and Cursor can open golf clips, trace the ball flight, read and change settings, compare swings, take screenshots and export videos, in the app on the user's computer. The user signs in to Chalk Tracer first; sign-in and posting to TikTok are not exposed to agents.
